Tensr partners with the ISS National Lab to manufacture in orbit

Houston, August 12, 2026 — Tensr is partnering with the ISS National Lab to deploy next-generation manufacturing technology in low Earth orbit. The focus of the work is in-space manufacturing, building on station rather than launching finished parts.

The partnership was established through the ISS National Lab’s Orbital Edge Accelerator, on the Disrupt track for in-space manufacturing. The program provisions private capital through its investment partners and facilitates a full sponsored, ISS-supported launch to carry the hardware to the station, together with flight access to low Earth orbit and technical mentorship on spaceflight development, business building, and commercialization.

The station serves as an engineering testbed for in-orbit manufacturing and robotics, capability that future space platforms and missions beyond low Earth orbit will depend on. Tensr will use the partnership to take robotic manufacturing off the ground and operate a working factory cell in orbit, the first step toward production capacity that travels with a mission to the Moon and beyond, where building on site replaces resupply from Earth.
